Terms of Sale
Please email us before sending payment to confirm that the gecko that you are interested in is still available. A non-refundable deposit of 25 percent is required to hold each gecko unless other arrangements are made and confirmed by us.
We reserve the right to refuse sale to any person without explanation or adjust prices without notice.

Health Guarantee
We provide a 24 hour health guarantee on any animal that is picked up from us (i.e., not shipped). This period begins once the animal is picked up from us. This guarantee does not cover dehydration, burns, hypothermia, drowning, choking, or tail loss. If the animal dies within 24 hours of pick up, we are willing to refund half (i.e., 50 percent) of the purchase price of the animal. Five detailed pictures of the animal (and a video of the non-living animal if possible) must be taken and sent to us immediately (within 24 hours of pick up) and the body of the animal must be mailed to us (post marked within 24 hours of being notified of the death to qualify) for the partial refund. (Should this occur, the buyer is responsible for all shipping fees associated with mailing the dead gecko back.)
Shipping
We prefer not to ship and instead have our customers meet us at a reptile show (see the REPTILE SHOWS page for more information) for pick up. If shipping is the only option, we require customers to agree to the following terms.
1) Buyer must pay a non-refundable 25 percent deposit via PayPal to hold the animal until shipping weather arrives unless alternative arrangements have been made and confirmed by Gold Coast Geckos. This deposit will not be returned for any reason other than if the animal dies in our possession while we are waiting to ship; in that case, we will refund half the deposit (and provide the remains of the animal as proof if necessary).
2) Buyer pays all shipping costs from Ship Your Reptile.com ("SYR"), which uses FedEx overnight delivery. Shipping generally costs around $60, but depends on factors such as location of destination and size of the packaging.
3) In addition,SYR offers insurance on the shipping that the buyer can choose to pay for. Please note that this insurance covers the cost of the animal and the shipping fees IF the shipment arrives late (usually by 10:00am, although later in some areas). Please see SYR for complete details.
4) We provide a 24 hour health guarentee, assuming the animal arrives on time and upon first delivery attempt.
5) Unless other arrangements are made and confirmed by us, there is a $25 surcharge for our time and the expenses related to caring for the animal while we wait for shipping weather to arrive and packaging it properly if the estimated shipping date is more than 21 days (3 weeks) after the deposit is place on the animal. Unless other arrangements are made and confirmed by us, if estimated ship date is 3 weeks from the date on which we agree to a sale or less, there will be a $10 surcharge only (i.e., handling fee and packaging materials).
6) Buyer must have paid for the animal in full and funds must clear before we ship the animal. Buyer must have paid for the animal in full no later than 150 days after the receipt of initial deposit; if not, the initial deposit will be forfeited and we will re-list the animal for sale.
7) We are willing to take guidance on what constitutes reasonable temperatures (high and low at departure and arrival locations) from the buyer, but ultimately we make the final determination. In addition, we will work with the buyer to determine a mutually convenient time for both parties for the shipment.
